Using this site

By using Home Project Estimates, you agree to use the site for personal planning and comparison. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the site.

Planning estimates only

Calculator results, guides, assumptions, and cost ranges are rough planning estimates only. They are not contractor quotes, bids, offers, appraisals, price guarantees, or promises that a project can be completed for a shown amount.

No professional advice

Home Project Estimates does not provide engineering, legal, tax, insurance, permit, building-code, safety, or construction advice. Projects may require licensed professionals, permits, inspections, engineered plans, or local code review.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking measurements, materials, product instructions, local requirements, site conditions, taxes, delivery, waste, labor scope, and contractor terms before buying materials or starting work.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to interfere with its operation, scrape it in a way that burdens the service, misrepresent calculator results as official quotes, or use the content for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes.

Saved estimates and Google Drive sync

Saved estimates are stored in your browser by default. Optional Google Drive sync stores saved estimate history in your own Google Drive app data folder so it can sync across signed-in browsers. You are responsible for the estimates you save and the accounts or devices you use with sync.

Third-party services

Some features link to or use third-party services, including Google Drive sync and Google Forms feedback. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. This site is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

Intellectual property

The site name, design, calculator structure, written content, and original assets belong to Home Project Estimates or its licensors. You may link to public pages and use calculator results for your own planning, but you may not copy, resell, or republish substantial parts of the site as a competing product without permission.

No warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. Home Project Estimates does not guarantee that results are accurate for your project, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that every error will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Home Project Estimates is not liable for losses or damages from using or relying on the site, including project overruns, purchasing decisions, contractor disputes, delays, or unavailable features.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes. The updated date on this page shows when the terms were last changed. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
